WHAT IS Lake Branley
Rowing is a club sport. Club sports must have a school sponsor. Our sponsor is Leslie Leblanc, a teacher at Lake Brantley High School, who is also the parent and of former rowers.
Lake Brantley Rowing Association (LBRA) is a non-profit organization that supports the team and is comprised of rowers, parents, and coaches. Only coaches are paid; all other positions are volunteer based from out generous parents and alumni. who donate time, talents and/or resources.
CAN STUDENTS SUCCESSFULLY JUGGLE SCHOOL AND Rowing?
YES! Rowing teaches the time management skills needed to succeed.
Our rowers have some of the highest GPA's at Lake Brantley High School. Most of our athletes carry heavy AP course loads, and influence new members to do so as well. Our coaches will work with any student athlete that may need extra help in order to ensure success.
Last year 95% of our team carried an unweighted GPA higher than a 3.0.
