As with any sport, rowing has many costs. There are many pieces of equipment to make the sport work; from the boats to the oars to the shoes inside the boat, to the ergometers and weight equipment on land. Unlike other high school sports in the state, rowing receives no local or state funding.
Although we are not funded by the school, Lake Brantley Rowing Association works very hard to provide our rowers with an exceptional rowing experience, providing a boathouse that is second-to-none in Florida, extraordinary coaching, and opportunities to compete across the country. Like many other clubs or even gyms, members of Lake Brantley Rowing are required to pay membership dues throughout the year. LBRA holds dozens of fundraisers to lower these costs, and participation in these fundraisers will lower the out-of-pocket costs of rowing. Below are the two payment options we offer. $180 membership dues + $60 boathouse fund = $240 monthly
$140 membership dues + $60 boathouse fund = $200 monthly per additional rower
2017-2018 Fee Commitment for ALL Rowers
The LBRA board has reviewed and implemented a fee schedule for the 2017-2018 rowing season. Monthly dues are paid from August 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018. We have an annual registration fee of $ 100 per family, payable in August 2017 or join date. For rowers joining after August 2017, the commitment will be from join date through May 31, 2018. This fee schedule for all rowers is as follows.
Yearly, onetime payment of $2,400.00 ($240.00 per month)
- Total payment for each rower paying YEARLY = $2,400.00 + $100.00 registration fee
- You will receive a 10% discount for paying this way. TOTAL DUE $2160.00 + $100.00
Bi-yearly, 2 payments of $1200.00 each.
- Total payment for paying Bi-Annual= $2,400.00 +$100.00 registration fee
- You will receive a 5% discount for paying this way. Total Due $1,140.00 x 2 (Feb 1, 2018)
Monthly dues are: $240.00
Multiple rower families: 2nd rower dues will be $200.00 per month for 10 months
The General Dues are used to cover the basic costs of the club including Boathouse, equipment, local regattas, coaching salaries, food and water for the rowers at races, and many other operating expenses.
Payments can be made by check, cash, credit card. Please mail check payments to LBRA at PO Box 915653, Longwood, FL 32791-5653. Payments can be provided to the LBRA Treasurer at the general meetings each month.
Credit Card payments of $200.00 or less will be charged a fee of $5.00.
Credit Card payments of $200.00 or more will be charged a fee of $10.00
Payments are due by the 5th of each month.
You are considered late after the 15th of the month. Rowers will be removed from the boathouse property, practice and regattas until full payment is received.
