As with any sport, rowing has many costs. There are many pieces of equipment to make the sport work; from the boats to the oars to the shoes inside the boat, to the ergometers and weight equipment on land. Unlike other high school sports in the state, rowing receives no local or state funding.

Although we are not funded by the school, Lake Brantley Rowing Association works very hard to provide our rowers with an exceptional rowing experience, providing a boathouse that is second-to-none in Florida, extraordinary coaching, and opportunities to compete across the country. Like many other clubs or even gyms, members of Lake Brantley Rowing are required to pay membership dues throughout the year. LBRA holds dozens of fundraisers to lower these costs, and participation in these fundraisers will lower the out-of-pocket costs of rowing. Below are the two payment options we offer. Single-Rower Family

Multiple-Rower Family

$140 membership dues + $60 boathouse fund = $200 monthly

$60 membership dues + $60 boathouse fund = $120 monthly per additional rower

 

The LBRA board has reviewed and implemented a fee schedule for the 2016-2017 rowing season. Monthly dues are paid from August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2017, with exception of seniors who pay through May 31, 2017. We have an annual registration fee of $ 100 per family, payable in August 2016 or join date. For rowers joining after August 2016, the commitment will be from join date through July 31, 2017. This fee schedule for all rowers is as follows:

Yearly, one time payment of $2,160.00 ($180.00 per month)

Total payment for each rower paying YEARLY = $2160.00 + $100.00 registration fee

Bi-yearly, 2 payments of $1140.00 each ($190.00 per month, 2nd payment due February 1, 2017)

Total payment for each rower paying BI-YEARLY = $2280.00 + $100.00 registration fee

Monthly, 12 payments of $200.00 each

Total payment for each rower paying MONTHLY = $2400.00 + $100.00 registration fee

The General Dues are used to cover the basic costs of the club including Boathouse, equipment, local regattas, coaching salaries, food and water for the rowers at races, and many other operating expenses.

Payments can be made by check, cash, credit card, or PayPal.  Please mail check payments to LBRA at PO Box 915653, Longwood, FL 32791-5653.  If using a credit card, there will be a 3% convenience fee added to each transaction.   Payments can be provided to the LBRA Treasurer at the general meetings each month.

Payments are due by the 5th of each month.
